Almasih's amazing life II

More prophecies about Al-Masih…

There are several prophecies stating that the Messiah will be a descendant of Nabi David. (King David)  The Prophet Isaiah (11:1) wrote:

“There will be a shoot out of Jesse's stump (Jesse was King David’s father) and a branch that grows from his root shall bear fruit.”

The fulfillment is found in the Injil, Matthew 1:1:

“This is the genealogyof Isa Al-Masih the son of David, the son of Abraham…"

His birthplace was also prophesied:

About the 6th century BCE the prophet Micah 5:2 made it clear that  Baitilaham (Bethlehem) will be the birthplace of a great king:

“But you, Baitilaham (Bethlehem), Ephrathah, the smallest member of the clans of Judah, from you will come out for me. who will rule in Israel..."

The fulfillment in Isa’s life is recorded in Injil Luke 2:4-7.

So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David  because he belonged to the house and line of David.  He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. … While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.”

It was prophesied that he would do many miracles:

You cans say that the Prophet Isa was one of the people in scripture who performed the most miracles.   The Injil records many events including sick people healed, demon possessed people freed, the dead brought back to life, five thousand people fed by two fish, a storm stopped, etc.  In his life he performed many miracles, just as it had been foretold.

About 700 years before Isa’s birth, the Prophet Ishaya (Isaiah) 35:5-6 wrote about him:

“Then will the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped.   Then will the lame leap like a deer, and the mute tongue shout for joy.”

The Prophet Isa himself quoted this prophecy to support that he was the Messiah who fulfilled the prophecy.  It is recorded in the Injil, Luke 7:21-23:

“When the men came to Jesus, they said, “John the Baptist sent us to you to ask, ‘Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?’At that very time Isa (Jesus) cured many who had diseases, sicknesses and evil spirits, and gave sight to many who were blind. 2So he replied to the messengers, “Go back and report to John what you have seen and heard: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosyare cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor.  Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me.”
