Isa is Almasih

Isa Almasih

The Jews believe he has not yet come but will come in the future.  Christians and Muslims, however, believe that Isa (Jesus) the son of Maryam (Mary) is Al-Masih (the Messiah).

In the Quran at least 11 times it is stated that Isa is Al-Masih (the Messiah), such as Surah Ala Imran verses 45, Surah Annisa, verses 157, 171, etc.

Likewise, the Injil clearly states that Isa is al-masih:

- through angels.  The angels who announced the birth of Isa to the shepherds declared: “For today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Al-Masih .”  (Injil Luke 2:11)

- through Sahaba (disciples), especially Shamoon (Simon Peter).  “So he asked him, “And who do you think I am?” Peter replied, “You are Al-Masih” (Injil, Mark 8:29).

- Through the Jewish religious leaders.  They accused the Prophet Isa of establishing himself as the Messiah, and he agreed:  “...Again the high priest asked him, ‘Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?’ ‘I am,’ said Jesus. ‘And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.’” (Injil, Mark 14:61-62).

- The evil spirits/demons. They recognized Isa when he drove them out of the people they were possessing:  “Moreover, demons came out of many people, shouting, ‘You are the Son of God!’ But he rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew he was the Messiah. (Injil Luke 4:41).

- The Prophet Isa himself said to a Samaritan woman that he was Al-Mazih:  “The woman said, ‘I know that Al-Masih” (called Christ) “is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.’

26 Then Jesus declared, ‘I, the one speaking to you—I am he.’" (Injil Lyahya (John) 4:25-26)

So here we can conclude that Al-Masih was One anointed for a special purpose, and the one who bears the title is Isa, the son of Mary - Jesus.
