Almasih's amazing life III

His death and resurrection…

Even the last days, death and resurrection of Al-Masih were prophesied.

In the Book of the Prophet of David (Psalms) 22:16,18 we find a picture of what would happen to the Messiah on the day of his death.  “They pierce my hands and my feet…  they divide my clothes among them and cast lots for my garment.”

Which is what happened to the Prophet Isa when they crucified Him on the cross.  This is recorded in the Injil Matthew 27:35: “And when they had crucified Him, they divided up His garments among themselves by casting lots.”

The writing of Prophet Ishaya (Isaiah 53:9) also recorded that the Messiah's body would be buried with the rich.  “He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth.”

This was fulfilled in the Injil Matthew 27:57-60:  “As evening approached, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who had himself become a disciple of Jesus.  Going to Pilate, he asked for Jesus’ body, and Pilate ordered that it be given to him. Joseph took the body, wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and placed it in his own new tomb that he had cut out of the rock. He rolled a big stone in front of the entrance to the tomb and went away.”

And finally, the Book of Nabi David (Psalms) 16:10 recorded another important miracle of the Messiah, namely his body would not perish, but would rise again.  The text in the Book of Sabun (Psalms) say this: “For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol; nor will You allow Your Holy One to undergo decay.”

All this the Prophet Isa confirmed himself, summarizing the preceding scripture prophecies concerning the death and resurrection of Al-Masih. as recorded in the Injil Luke 24:44-46:

“Now He said to them, ‘These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.’ Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures,  and He said to them, ‘Thus it is written, that the Christ would suffer and rise again from the dead the third day…’”

Conclusion:  We can see in these five incredible prophecies about Al-Masih that the Prophet Isa was the only one who fulfills them all. Only he could be the Messiah.

In the next chapter, we will look at the important tasks of the Messiah. Why was he sent here
